The resort’s design process focuses on a harmonious blend of comfort and elegance, utilising organic textures and materials inspired by the coastal landscape. This fusion of design and nature creates a space where relaxation takes center stage—encapsulating the essence of serenity.
Beyond the panoramic views and idyllic surroundings, it’s the attention to detail that transforms this resort into a sanctuary. Conceptualised by the Dubai-based design team, Stickman Tribe, and brought to life by onestop, the masterful collaboration has turned the concept of relaxation into a tangible design experience. From open-air lounges to cosy nooks, every element has been thoughtfully curated to embody calmness.
Designing for serenity within a beach resort requires balancing aesthetics and ambiance. Furniture, spatial arrangements, and color palettes must all harmonise with the natural beauty of the environment. This is where onestop’s expertise plays a pivotal role.
Launched in July 2023, the entire project was completed in just eight weeks, a timeline considered tight for such an undertaking. onestop’s meticulous approach and adaptability were crucial in overcoming the logistical and creative challenges that inevitably arise with bespoke furnishing on a large scale with each piece crafted with a deep understanding of its function, aesthetic, and the specific needs of the resort’s environment.
For instance, the bed frames in the suites were thoughtfully designed to capture the essence of a canopy, a subtle nod to the resort’s name. To achieve this, each frame was meticulously crafted from several carefully selected pieces of solid ash wood, rather than a single solid piece. This technique allowed the frame to embody the desired curvature, creating a light and graceful canopy shape, free from the bulk or inflexibility that a single panel might impose. To complement the flowing lines of the frame, synthetic rattan was delicately woven around it, following the curves of the canopy frame. onestop sourced this ideal material from a trusted supplier, ensuring it not only enhanced the bed’s elegance but also seamlessly integrated with the resort’s serene, nature-inspired aesthetic. The frames were then carefully assembled at the factory, with each finished piece delivered intact to the resort—showcasing the team’s precision, efficiency, and keen understanding of both form and function.
The wardrobe posed its own challenge with its open-concept design and custom poles. To achieve the desired aesthetic, onestop crafted the poles from aluminium, meticulously printed to replicate the look of wood. The colour was carefully selected to seamlessly match the wood tones throughout the space. The process of achieving this perfect match was complex, but onestop’s attention to detail ensured the wardrobe blended effortlessly with the surrounding design. Composed of several sections, the wardrobe was disassembled for transportation and expertly reassembled on-site at the resort. This thoughtful approach balances both function and style, creating a refined and modern storage solution that integrates seamlessly with Canopy’s overall aesthetic and functional needs.
The counter tables and mini bars embody a design philosophy rooted in serenity, blending luxurious materials with practical functionality. Granite surfaces rest atop sleek ash wood bases, creating a harmonious balance between elegance and durability. This thoughtful pairing ensures both style and resilience, seamlessly fitting into the resort’s serene environment where beauty and function coexist effortlessly.
The choice of materials in Canopy’s furnishings goes beyond aesthetics—it’s an invitation to connect with nature. Soft, neutral tones evoke calmness, while natural elements such as rattan bring the outdoors inside, reinforcing the beachside setting.
